Tragedy has struck in Benin City, Edo State, following the d+ath of a 30-year-old interior decorator, identified as Esohe Aigbe, after she was reportedly att@cked by unidentified persons.
According to family sources, the deceased had gone to Ujo Street in the Ogida area of Benin to help a friend decorate a funeral venue free of charge.
Relatives said that after completing the decoration work, Esohe reportedly remained within the area when she was suddenly att@cked by unknown assailants.
The att@ck allegedly left her with severe inj¥ries, prompting her immediate transfer to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) for medical treatment.
Despite efforts by doctors and medical personnel to save her life, she later d+ed from the inj¥ries sustained during the ass@ult.
Her remains have since been deposited in the mortuary.
Family members described the deceased as a quiet, hardworking, and dedicated interior decorator who was widely known in the area for handling funeral and event decorations.
They also called on security agencies to thoroughly investigate the incident and ensure that those responsible are identified, arrested, and prosecuted.
As of the time this report was filed, no suspect had been arrested and authorities were yet to announce any breakthrough in the investigation.
The incident has sparked concern among residents and social media users, with many demanding justice for the late decorator.
