President Donald Trump has confirmed the elimination of Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, second in command of ISIS globally, in an operation conducted by U.S. and Nigerian forces in Nigeria on Friday May 15,2026. The US President who praised Nigeria and her forces for their cooperation during the operation revealed the development via his Truth social media page.
Al-Minuki, was Nigerian national, and was designated as a “specially designated global terrorist” by the former Biden administration in 2023, according to the U.S. Federal Register.
