According to eyewitnesses, the woman’s husband came back unexpectedly and met the whole house shaking seriously from the loud “pounding” noise coming from the bedroom. He pushed the door open and saw his wife and the side man in action.
Angry neighbours and community members quickly gathered, dragged both of them out, and are now parading them through the village. The two lovers face immediate banishment from the community according to Igbo tradition.
One community elder said, “This kind of nonsense will not be allowed here. Our wives must respect their marriage.”
The husband, said to be a respected man in the area, is very angry and has handed them over to the elders. As at the time of this report, the woman and her side man are being led out of the community in shame.
