Wife Of Keke Driver Kidnapped In Village After Returning From Malaysia Reveals What Friends Told Her

Chinenye Glory, the wife of an Imo State commercial tricycle operator, has shared the emotional and financial struggles her family endured after her husband became a victim of kidnapping. Speaking during an interview with Punch Newspapers, she revealed how friends and relatives repeatedly urged her to leave her husband after the incident drastically changed their standard of living.…....

Her husband, Chijioke, had earlier explained that he returned to Nigeria from Malaysia in 2019 and later travelled to his hometown in Imo State, where he was reportedly kidnapped. According to him, the traumatic experience left the family financially exhausted, forcing him to abandon his previous lifestyle and begin operating a commercial tricycle, popularly known as a Keke, to provide for his family.

Chinenye recalled that the difficult situation led many people around her to question the future of their marriage. She said several friends and even family members believed she should walk away because her husband could no longer provide financial security as he once did.

“My friends were advising me that this one that this guy does not have money, is it not better you leave him?. Even family were saying I should move on that thank God you have not given birth,” she said.

Despite the pressure and criticism, Chinenye stated that she chose to remain committed to her husband during the challenging period. According to her, abandoning him while he was struggling emotionally and financially would have been unfair and disloyal.

She explained that the aftermath of the kidnapping placed a heavy burden on their relationship, as the family reportedly spent a significant amount of money dealing with the consequences of the incident. The experience, she noted, tested both their emotional strength and financial stability.

However, Chinenye maintained that standing by her husband during hardship was the right decision, even when others doubted their future together. Her story highlights the realities many families face after traumatic experiences and the difficult choices couples often confront when financial challenges arise unexpectedly.
