2027: Accord Party Presents Lagos Candidates, Confirms Gbenga Hashim as Presidential Flagbearer

The Accord Party has intensified its preparations for the 2027 general elections with the official presentation of its candidates for key elective positions in Lagos State. The party also reaffirmed its commitment to the presidential ambition of Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, describing him as its authentic candidate for the nation’s highest office.

The unveiling ceremony, which attracted party members, stakeholders, and supporters, served as a platform for the party to introduce candidates who will contest for the governorship, senatorial seats, House of Representatives positions, and seats in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Addressing attendees at the event, Lagos State Accord Party Chairman, Dele Oladeji, said the exercise marks the beginning of a new political journey for the party in Lagos. He stated that the candidates were carefully selected based on their capacity, leadership qualities, and commitment to serving the people.

Oladeji stressed that the Accord Party remains focused on providing practical solutions to the challenges facing residents of Lagos and Nigerians at large. According to him, the party’s vision is centered on accountable leadership, economic growth, improved infrastructure, youth empowerment, and social development.

The party leadership also used the occasion to dispel any uncertainty surrounding its presidential ticket. Members unanimously reaffirmed their support for Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, insisting that he remains the party’s chosen candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

Party officials expressed confidence that Hashim possesses the experience and leadership qualities needed to tackle Nigeria’s economic difficulties, insecurity, unemployment, and other pressing national concerns. They noted that his candidacy represents the party’s commitment to offering Nigerians a credible alternative ahead of the next election cycle.

Candidates unveiled during the event pledged to run issue-based campaigns and work towards improving the welfare of citizens if elected. They promised to prioritize policies that will enhance education, healthcare, job creation, and infrastructural development across their constituencies.

The gathering ended with a call on Nigerians, particularly young people, to participate actively in the democratic process by obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and supporting leaders they believe can deliver meaningful change.

Political analysts view the development as part of the Accord Party’s broader strategy to strengthen its political structure and increase its visibility as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum across the country.
