The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) has announced the 7 Days Data Privacy Challenge for registered Data Privacy Ambassadors across Nigeria.
The digital awareness campaign will run from 8th June to 14th June 2026 and is aimed at educating internet users on important privacy and data protection issues affecting everyday online activities.
According to the announcement, participants will receive a different privacy awareness topic daily through email and will be expected to create educational content around each topic using creative formats.
Participants can create short videos of not more than 90 seconds, carousel designs, single graphics, educational storytelling posts, or any other engaging content format that can help simplify privacy awareness for the public.
Daily Challenge Topics
The challenge will cover several important privacy awareness topics throughout the seven days.
Day 1 will focus on the risks of oversharing personal information during giveaways.
Day 2 will address the dangers of clicking unverified links online.
Day 3 will educate participants on understanding privacy policies and notices.
Day 4 will discuss why people should avoid sharing explicit personal content online.
Day 5 will focus on the dangers associated with the wrong use of public WiFi networks.
Day 6 will centre on Data Privacy Rights Awareness.
Day 7 will address identity theft and impersonation scams.
