Bandits have reportedly massacred at least 15 people in Sabo village, in the Talata Mafara axis of Zamfara State.
The 15 victims have since been buried in Sabo town, Talata Mafara. The Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Yahaya Yari, reportedly led the burial. Reports also indicate that six suspected bandits were killed during the attack.
The area is believed to fall within the zone linked to notorious bandit kingpin Dansadiya.
Reports further suggest that he has pulled out of the dialogue process with the government, although this has not been officially confirmed.
