Singer Emoseh Khamofu, popularly known as Bloody Civilian, has opened up about how her career as an artiste has reshaped her worldview and influenced her stance on certain values she was raised with.
Speaking on a recent episode of a podcast, the 26-year-old explained that some conventional expectations her family holds for a woman from the North no longer resonate with her.
She disclosed that, contrary to her family’s wishes, marriage is currently not on her mind, noting that her family continues to bring up the subject without fully grasping that it is not something she looks forward to.
According to her, her career has shaped the way she views her upbringing and the traditional family values she was raised on, explaining that one thing her family still struggles to understand about her life.
As an artiste is that certain conventional expectations placed on women from the North simply do not excite her, marriage being a key example, even though the topic keeps resurfacing within her family.
