The donation was made on Tuesday during a condolence and solidarity visit led by the group’s state director, Olufemi Onireti.

He said: “We have the assurance that the teachers and pupils will return in peace.
“Government is working tirelessly to ensure their safe release.
“We are here to identify with the people of Esinele and support the community during this difficult period.”
Onireti urged residents not to lose hope despite the ordeal facing the community.
He said: “I want to advise you all not to lose hope.
“The government and security agencies are doing everything possible to secure their release.
“Your children will return in peace.
“We share in your pain and will continue to pray and support you until they are reunited with their families.”
He added that the medical supplies would improve access to basic healthcare services and provide relief to residents.
The director also presented a cash donation of N1m to the family of the late Michael Oyedokun, one of the teachers affected by the incident.
In addition, he announced scholarship awards for Oyedokun’s sons, Oyedokun Abiodun and Samuel Oyedokun, to support their education.

He said: “We appreciate the Federal and State Governments for standing by us during this difficult time.
“We have received assurances from government representatives that the teachers and pupils will be released.
