The Yobe State Government has commenced the distribution of 3,500 laptops to civil servants across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) under a loan-based scheme aimed at enhancing productivity and promoting digital transformation in the public service.

At the official flag-off ceremony, the Head of Service Abdullahi Musa Shehu described the initiative as a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to build a modern, efficient, and technology driven workforce.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary Service welfare Shuaibu Ibrahim Amshi noted that access to digital tools is essential for improving service delivery, strengthening communication, and enabling civil servants to perform their duties more effectively in today’s rapidly evolving digital environment.

The Head of Service explained that the loan-based arrangement was designed to ensure wider access to the laptops while encouraging accountability and responsible use of government resources.
