Media personality Rufai Oseni has publicly criticized presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga over the controversy surrounding a viral audio allegedly linked to social media commentator VeryDarkMan.
The criticism comes after claims emerged online that the controversial audio circulating on social media had been doctored.
Reacting to the issue, Rufai Oseni argued that Bayo Onanuga should have deleted his earlier post accusing VeryDarkMan after questions were raised about the authenticity of the recording.
According to Rufai:
“I wanted to be soft on Bayo Onanuga this morning, but I won’t. He was supposed to take down that post about VDM, especially now that it has been confirmed to be fake.
Is this not the same Bayo Onanuga who declared that 2023 should be the last time Igbo people interfere in Lagos politics? And that Lagos is not a no man’s land and that it is a Yoruba land.”
The statement quickly generated strong reactions online, with many Nigerians debating misinformation, political communication, tribal comments, and government accountability.
Reacting to Rufai’s comments, GREASED BY GRACE wrote:
