Residents of Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State have expressed concern over an alleged case of child abuse involving a young boy who was reportedly scalded with hot water by his mother.
According to community sources, the incident occurred on Tuesday. Residents alleged that after the boy sustained the burns, he was only given paracetamol and did not receive further medical treatment.
Witnesses further claimed that the child was seen carrying out errands on Wednesday morning despite his reported injuries, raising concerns among members of the community about his welfare and health condition.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and the extent of the boy’s injuries has not been independently verified.
