“He started cheating after cashing out $25,000…” – Lady recounts why she reported ex-boyfriend to EFCC

A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after revealing that she reported her boyfriend to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following the collapse of their relationship.

According to her, she met the man during her university days when he was financially struggling and often depended on her for support.

In her words, she said:

“When I met him, he was so broke. Most times, I was the one feeding him. I even used my savings to buy him a laptop to start Yahoo because I loved him.”

She claimed that everything changed after one of his friends made money from internet fraud, however, she encouraged her boyfriend to try it as well and even supported him with a laptop.

The lady alleged that after making his first $25,000, her boyfriend’s attitude changed completely. She claimed he began cheating openly and became distant despite all she had done for him.

Feeling betrayed, she said she walked away from the relationship and later reported him to the EFCC which led to his downfall.

While some social media users praised her for exposing an alleged internet fraudster, others argued that her decision was driven by heartbreak after their relationship broke down.

One user wrote, “She shouldn’t have supported Yahoo in the first place.” Another added, “Betrayal or not, reporting him was too extreme.”

Despite the actions, the lady maintained that she has no regrets about her decision and insisted she would do it again if given another chance.

The confession continues to spark conversations online about love, betrayal, and accountability in modern relationships.
