I Remain Loyal & Committed To The APC – Says Senator Odebiyi Amid NDC Rumours

Former lawmaker who represented Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Tolu Odebiyi, CON, has stated that he remains a loyal and committed member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and asked opposition parties to stop using his name or associating him with their activities.

Reacting to the development, Senator Odebiyi said he has been made aware that some individuals are falsely using his name to promote their political party under the pretext that he intends to contest for the Senate on the platform of the NDC.

He described the claim as “entirely false, baseless, and frankly insulting”.

“Anyone who truly knows me understands that I do not switch political parties, especially not from a party that has historical progressive lineage and my family played a significant role in sustaining, particularly under the current administration,” Sen. Odebiyi stated.

Sen. Odebiyi said: “On several occasions, I have been approached to join other political parties, including the PDP, ADC, and APM. On every occasion, I unequivocally rejected those overtures”.

“Accordingly, I hereby advise the Chairman of the NDC and all its members and supporters to immediately cease and desist from using my name or associating me with their party in any form. I have never been, and I am not, a member of the NDC,” he said.

Sen. Odebiyi added: “I remain a loyal and committed member of the APC, fully dedicated to the campaign and election of my brother as the next Governor of Ogun State, as well as the re-election of the President”.

“I urge the public to disregard these false claims and misleading propaganda,” Sen. Tolu Odebiyi, CON, stated.

Senator Tolu Odebiyi has previously served as Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District. The All Progressives Congress (APC) is Nigeria’s ruling party at the federal level and in his state, Ogun State.
