Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has raised eyebrows over her relationship status with colleague Odobodo Motolani, following their recent public appearance.
The duo had attended the remembrance of veteran Mama Ereko’s mum in matching outfits. In photos she posted on her Instagram page, she and Motolani wore matching Ankara outfits, which raised eyebrows.

Recall that during last year’s Christmas celebration, Laide shared photos of herself and colleague, Odobodobo Motolani wearing matching pyjamas, saying that love conquers all.
Motolani also shared photos of them, saying that he thought it was going to be a lonely Christmas, but she showed up.
In March, the Yoruba actress shared loved-up photos of herself and the actor, in matching traditional outfits, revealing that their friendship was built on trust, laughter, respect, and a deep understanding shared only by them. She said that, despite public opinion, they chose to listen to their hearts.
Her loved-up photos didn’t sit well with some of her fans and followers, who took to her comment section to criticise the union.
Addressing them, Laide stated that they should allow love to lead. She questioned what if they are wrong and she is right in her choice.
In an interview with Ayo Adesanya, Laide gave her two cents on love, saying no man can come to her house unless he is married to her. According to her, their moments together will be spent in his house, not hers. She made it known that she doesn’t love her man; she only likes, appreciates, and respects him.
Laide Bakare has been married twice. Her first marriage was to American-based business tycoon, Olumide Okufulure, and they welcomed a daughter, Simi. Unfortunately, the marriage didn’t last long.
Laide Bakare remarried Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012 in a secret marriage, and the union produced two sons. The couple, however, separated after he was alleged to have been involved in fraudulent activities, which led the EFCC to declare him wanted in 2014.
