A young man has sparked reactions online after attributing Nigeria’s current economic situation to the prayers of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
The post, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @maxvayshia, suggested that the country would have experienced a ‘far worse economy’ if not for spiritual intervention.
Satirical Comment on Economic Situation
In the viral post, @maxvayshia appeared to make a satirical remark about Nigeria’s economic hardship and rising cost of living, claiming that things could have been far worse without prayer.
He argued that despite current economic challenges, Nigeria would be in a more difficult situation if not for the prayers and spiritual influence of Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
Comparison of Commodity Prices
He also compared the prices of basic commodities, suggesting that costs would have been significantly higher without what he described as divine intervention.
In his words:
“We don’t appreciate Daddy G.O Adeboye enough toh. Kerosene is N2,400. Gas is 2,400. If not for his prayers and talk with God over coffee, we would be buying them at N8,500 by now.
Thank you, Daddy.”
