In a statement on developments in West Asia, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the ongoing conflict has now continued for over 100 days and has caused immense human suffering.
The MEA said the conflict has also had a debilitating impact on the global economy and energy supplies, highlighting the wider consequences of the prolonged tensions in the region.
“India deeply regrets the renewed attacks in West Asia. These developments are a matter of utmost concern to the international community,” the MEA said.
The ministry called on all parties involved to immediately de-escalate tensions and ensure that civilians are not harmed amid the continuing conflict.
India also urged the parties to conclude ongoing negotiations for a diplomatic solution, stressing the need for peace and stability to return to the region.
The MEA’s statement comes amid continued tensions in West Asia, with the conflict triggering concerns over humanitarian conditions and its impact beyond the region.
India reiterated the importance of resolving the situation through dialogue and diplomacy, calling for efforts to prevent further escalation and protect civilian lives.
The ministry said a peaceful resolution remains essential to restore stability in the region and address the broader challenges posed by the conflict.
The prolonged crisis has raised concerns over global economic conditions and energy security, as disruptions in the region continue to affect international markets.
India’s call for restraint comes as the international community continues to seek diplomatic pathways to end the conflict and bring lasting peace to West Asia.
