How was Kapkures Comprehensive School PP2 girl buried
The family, which is reportedly facing financial difficulties, could not afford a modern coffin for Jepkemboi’s burial.
As a result, they fashioned a makeshift coffin from several pieces of wood joined together to form a box. The coffin was unpainted and had a rough finish. It was placed on a wooden table beneath a small makeshift tent.
Her grieving parents sat beside the coffin on plastic chairs as mourners listened to a preacher presiding over the ceremony.
The images reflected not only the family’s grief but also their love for the little girl whose life was cut short far too soon.
Kenyans online sympathised with Jepkemboi’s family, with many calling on leaders, friends, neighbours, well-wishers and other people of goodwill to support the grieving family during this difficult time.
