In a viral TikTok video posted under the username @dechurchbaddie, she exposed the pair while sharing a light-hearted moment with them.

“Guys, welcome to the Ndura family. This is my fourth-born brother, and the second-born is the one holding the camera. For two years, we knew they were in Qatar, and we have been eagerly waiting for their return,” she said.

Amid laughter, the young woman revealed that the two men had actually been living and working in Nairobi as boda boda riders.

She jokingly added that the money they had been sending home all along was earned from ferrying customers around the city, not from jobs abroad.

The siblings met along Ngong Road, where the two brothers are based, and shared a hilarious moment as they laughed over the situation.

Why Nairobi brothers lied about working in Qatar

The eldest brother later explained why they had chosen to tell their family that they were working in Qatar.

He admitted that the pressure of family responsibilities had pushed him to lie, especially when he was unable to send money home regularly.

“I am the one who has supposedly been in Qatar for the last two years. But I lied about that because I was running away from responsibilities. Life was hard, and sometimes I would tell them I had not been paid, so I could only send KSh 200 or KSh 300,” he said.

He also hilariously recounted how they were eventually caught after appearing on television during the demonstrations.

“My sister asked, ‘Si tumekuona hapo Citizen, kwani Citizen iko Qatar na Bolt pia iko Qatar? Huku ndio Qatar.’ Today they found me here at the stage where we pick clients near GreenHouse,” he added.

Nonetheless, the man expressed his joy at reuniting with his siblings and laughed off the family drama.

He also noted that his sister had previously gone viral after allegedly falling victim to a Russian man who trended online for filming his encounters with African women.

Despite the deception, the family appeared to take the revelation in good spirits, turning what could have been an awkward moment into a humorous and memorable reunion.
