Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has expressed strong criticism of the Nigerian government, accusing its leaders of showing little concern for the welfare of citizens.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress directly addressed the President and the First Lady, stating that Nigerians should not be treated as people who can be easily exploited or ignored.
According to Jegede, criminal activities occur in many parts of the world, but the situation in Nigeria is particularly troubling because many citizens feel abandoned and believe that no one will come to their aid when they are in danger.
She further noted that the violence and suffering experienced across the country cut across ethnic, religious, and social boundaries, affecting Nigerians regardless of their background.
Her words…
“The Nigerian government lacks a sense of humanity.
@officialasiwajubat @officialoluremitinubu … Nigerians are not doormats, nor are they people you just prey on. Crimes happen everywhere in the world; the fact that Nigerians know that no one will ever come looking for them is the issue. These atrocities have not been tríbal, religious, nor class-based”.
