Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has responded to the criticism she received following her comment on designer Luminee’s social media page.
The designer recently welcomed her first child with actor Baba Ijesha.
Annie had joined other well-wishers in congratulating the new mother in the comment section, but her message quickly sparked backlash online, with some social media users criticizing her for engaging with the post.
Reacting to the reactions, Annie expressed surprise at the criticism, questioning why she was being dragged over the comment. She also pointed out that Luminee had previously designed a dress for her, which she liked and wore to the AFRIMA awards.

“What’s going on? Please, guys, I do not understand. The lady made a nice dress for me a few months ago. I honestly don’t know what’s going on, guys. Saw her post on my TL about just having a baby and dropped a heart as congrats! Am I missing something? What did I do wrong? Cos, I’m genuinely lost o. Why the plenty insults guys? I honestly don’t know anything at all about her personal life, beyond the fact that she made the pretty dress I wore to AFRIMA.
Pls can someone enlighten me? Cos I truly do not know or have any idea what’s up!”.
