“She was love, grace and strength to me” – Jide Kosoko emotional as he marks 10 years remembrance of his late wife, Henrietta Kosoko

Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko is marking the 10th remembrance of his late wife, Henrietta Kosoko.

Taking to his Instagram page to share a photo of his late wife, he said his wife was his love, grace, and strength to him and his children. He informed his late wife that their children are doing great and expressed his belief that she is smiling from heaven.

“Today marks 10 years since my beloved wife, Henrietta Emumejiapkor Kosoko, returned to her Creators. She was love, grace, and strength to our children and me. Her children are doing great, and I know she’s smiling from above. May God grant her Peace yonder. We miss you, Rita Omo Odudukudu. Continue to rest in peace, Iya Ibeji.”

Recall that Jide Kosoko lost his wife, Henrietta, who died from complications that arose from diabetes. The actress and wife of Jide Kosoko passed away on June 6th, 2012, after she slumped and was rushed to the hospital.

Before her death, she was involved in an accident along the Sagamu-Abeokuta road that almost her life. Henrietta Kosoko was aged 53 when she died.

Speaking on her death, Jide set the record straight that his late wife died from complications that arose from diabetes.

He noted how his friends, family, and colleagues stood by him and he appreciated them.

Jide revealed that though his wife had her flaws, he missed her because she was his companion and they were both in the same profession and to add to it, she was a fantastic cook.

The veteran added that he still dreams about her but it’s mostly based on his imagination.

Marking her 6th remembrance in 2022, he stated that he would celebrate her always because her vacuum remains uncovered.

Telling her to keep resting, he said a word of prayer for her and gave glory to God.

While marking the 30-year remembrance of his late wife, Alhaja Sherifat Abimbola Kosoko nee Lawal, the veteran described his late wife as his first love and the mother of his older children. He noted how death is usually like a rumour to people until it hits someone close to them.

According to the veteran, when he lost his wife in 1993, it wasn’t an unpleasant experience for him because she served as his source of joy and happiness and that of their children. Jide stated that she played a central and vital role in the balance of their home, even though he got along a few years after her demise.
