Described as a cheerful young woman whose smile brightened every room, Emma was remembered for her deep love for God and her family. Members of the Rongo Central Adventist Youth, where she was an active member, paid their final respects as they accompanied her on her final journey.

Emma’s mother pays emotional tribute

Speaking during the burial, Emma’s heartbroken mother, Rose, described her daughter as the best child any parent could wish for.

She said Emma had never caused her any trouble, even during her school years.

“Emma was everything. She was intelligent, loving and always smiling. She never hurt anyone. I thank God for her because, as she grew stronger in her faith, she also helped me grow spiritually. It is because of my daughter that I came to understand the books of Daniel and Revelation. She was my preacher and my prayer partner,” Rose said.

The grieving mother added that Emma loved school and excelled in her studies.

Family calls for thorough investigation into Emma’s death

Speaking to NGBREAKINGNEWS, Emma’s aunt, Damaris, said police had initially indicated that the young woman had jumped to her death.

However, she said the family suspected foul play based on the nature of Emma’s injuries and what they believed was the speed with which her body was embalmed.

“This could happen to anyone’s daughter, and we hope the police will get to the bottom of what happened. We know it will not bring her back, but it will give my sister some closure and perhaps prevent another family from going through the same pain,” Damaris said.
