The Delta State Police Command has. arrested two brothers over the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl in Warri South LocalGovernment Area of the state.
The suspects, identified as EmmanuelEugene, 18, and Kelvin Eugene, 20, were arrested following a complaint by the family of the victim, who reportedly went missing after her mother left home for the market.
The incident was said to have occurred in June 2026 at Okoro Street, Third Marine Quarters, Third Marine Gate,Warri.
According to a source familiar with the case, the teenager was later found hiding inside a church building in Effuru, by a woman who came to sweep the Church and informed her family.
He said the teenager initially refused to speak about what happened to her but later opened up after repeated persuasions from family members.
“The teenager accused the two brothers of sexually assaulting her and said she fled because she was afraid and ashamed to return home.
“The suspects who admitted having canal knowledge of the teenager said they didn’t force her but she willingly came to them for sex,” the source said.
The Delta State Command’s spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident in a text message, saying “Confirmed.”
