A domestic worker in Uganda has been arrested after she was allegedly accused of stealing about $10,000 and other valuable items from her employer’s home, Angry residents striped her naked and beat her for doing such.

According to reports, the maid was said to have taken the money and other belongings before leaving the house without informing anyone. Her sudden disappearance led to concern, and a search for her began immediately.
She was later discovered in another city in Uganda. Eyewitnesses said that people in the area identified her after information about the alleged theft circulated. She was then confronted and later handed over to security operatives.
During the incident, there were claims that she was subjected to harsh treatment by some members of the public before police arrived. However, these reports have not been officially confirmed by authorities.
Police officers eventually took her into custody and began investigations into the case. She is expected to assist the police in finding out how the money went missing and whether anyone else was involved.
Authorities have advised the public not to take the law into their own hands and to allow proper investigation and legal procedures to take place.
The case remains under investigation.
