In recent times, General Abubakar Rabe, a former spokesperson for the Nigerian Army, has been confirmed dead in the captivity of insurgents.
However, during the interview, Director of the Abuja School of Social Thought and Politics, Sam Amadi, stated that this incident is not the first and serving military generals have been captured on video pleading for their lives and eventually got beheaded by the terrorists.
In Amadi’s words, “We have seen serving generals killed; the dramatic plea on video, pleading for his life, and got beheaded by the terrorists. We have seen several serving and retired officers becoming victims of this terror attack.
