Nollywood Actor Adeniyi Johnson has voiced his frustration over the growing insecurity in the country, questioning why many Nigerians now live in fear.
In a post shared on Instagram, the actor asked how the nation got to its current state, saying Nigerians were promised ifọ̀kànbalẹ̀ (peace of mind) but are instead struggling with fear and uncertainty.
He also questioned whether bandits have become more knowledgeable than the country’s security forces, noting that the insecurity is now affecting people more closely than many imagined.
“Where is the ifọ̀kànbalẹ̀ you promised us? We can’t sleep with our eyes closed anymore. Are the bandits smarter or wiser than our entire military force? It is now closer to us than we think. Government, please do the needful now,” he wrote.
