MC Fish, the estranged husband of Nollywood actress Anita Joseph, has spoken about their crashed marriage.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, he said he doesn’t regret getting married at 27 because he felt happy and respected. The hype man said he saw everything he wanted in a marriage, hence why he married the actress.
He said he learnt from his failed marriage that honesty is vital in any relationship from both parties. According to him, couples should be as open as a book, no matter how hard it is.
“If you love someone and care for the person, you shouldn’t be afraid to do whatever you want with the person. I always believe in optimism. At that point, I was happy and respected. And I saw everything I wanted in a marriage and went into it. I learnt that in any relationship, honesty is important on both sides. Let it be as open as a book, no matter how hard it is”.
Kemi Filani reported that while weighing in on Frank Edoho’s marital saga, MC Fish admitted that both he and Anita were unfaithful during their relationship. He claimed the actress cheated on him with multiple men, whose names he wouldn’t mention, and he wasn’t a saint either.
Recall that in December of last year, Joseph had finally confirmed that her marriage had ended, noting how life has a way of testing our strength in ways we never expect, especially in marriage. She revealed that she has been walking through a season of deep reflection, pain, and healing, and was choosing grace, growth, and faith.
Insiders, while speaking to a famous blogger, alleged that the 5-year union had come to an end after facing significant personal and emotional challenges. It was revealed that the actress lost two babies – stillbirth and a painful miscarriage, and had also endured domestic violence.
Earlier this year, photos and videos of the MC and his new girlfriend had gone viral online, drawing backlash from netizens.
Addressing it, MC Fish said life has always been unfair to men, and he stands by his point. He noted how if a woman leaves a relationship and finds another man, people will say she found happiness, but it is different for a man, as he would be accused of cheating on his wife with his new partner.
In a shading post, he stated that he was glad that, despite all the allegations about him, no one has said he isn’t good in bed.
Also speaking out, Gbemso made it clear that she didn’t wreck his marriage; when she met him, he was single, and they started their relationship. According to her, both of them dated people in the past who didn’t appreciate them. She said that when they found each other, and it was so beautiful.
