Nottingham Forest fullback, Ola Aina, has said he wants to score at least five goals in the 2026/27 season after going the whole of last season without finding the net.
The Nigeria international, who began his career as a right winger before converting into one of the Premier League’s most reliable fullbacks, made 28 appearances across all competitions last season without a goal, though he registered an assist in Forest’s 2-1 Europa League defeat to Fenerbahce.

Speaking on Twitch, Aina said he would need divine help to reach his target.
“I need to pray and fast because I did not score any goals last season. The season before, I think I got three (goal involvements).
“I need to do some serious prayer and fasting because I need at least five. If I get five, I will be content,” Aina said.
Aina, who can play at right back, left back and centre back, has resumed pre-season training with Forest ahead of Saturday’s friendly against Notts County.
