Balogun signs with LeBron James’ sports agency

United States forward Folarin Balogun has signed with Klutch Sports following his impressive FIFA World Cup campaign, becoming the first footballer to join the agency directly.

Balogun, who plays for Monaco, joins the agency founded by Rich Paul, the long-time business partner of NBA star LeBron James.

The move marks a significant step in Klutch Sports’ expansion into football after its acquisition of European agency ROOF in 2024.

The 25-year-old joins a client roster that includes LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Jalen Hurts and A’ja Wilson.

Klutch announced Balogun’s signing on Monday, with Paul describing the United States international as an important addition to the agency’s growing football division.

“Folarin Balogun is one of the most talented and influential players in global football today,” Paul said.

“His relentless ambition and cultural impact represent the standard of excellence we hope to continue to bring to the sport.

“We are incredibly proud to welcome him to Klutch and excited about everything we can build together.”

Balogun’s move follows an impressive World Cup campaign in which he scored three goals to help the United States reach the round of 16 before their elimination by Belgium.

He scored twice against Paraguay before adding another goal against Bosnia and Herzegovina, emerging as one of the USMNT’s standout performers at the tournament.

His arrival further strengthens Klutch Sports’ growing presence in football.

Following its acquisition of ROOF, the agency represents several footballers, including Malik Tillman, Gio Reyna, Kai Havertz and Mohammed Kudus, as well as a number of coaches.

Balogun was previously represented by UK-based Elite Project Group.

His switch to Klutch comes amid increasing speculation over his club future following his performances for Monaco and the United States, with reports linking him to a return to the Premier League as well as interest from other European clubs.
