Sammy Riches, the husband of popular actress Nkiru Sylvanus, is receiving praise from netizens for defending his wife over an online attack.
Videos and photos of the actress on set made rounds online, with many making unflattering comments about her appearance.
Many suggested that marriage had visibly altered the actress’s appearance. Some even went as far as sharing Nkiru’s photo with the caption, “Cry 4 help”.
Coming to his wife’s defence, Sammy shared a video on Instagram in which he issued a public warning to anyone making false claims about his marriage.
Sammy said that, though he might choose to overlook the video and the comments, he wouldn’t tolerate anyone posting a derogatory or misleading caption about their marriage and would take legal action.
“A picture and a video which do not represent what my wife looks like have been circulating online currently, and I choose to overlook all that and all the comments that have been made. But what I will not tolerate is someone making a derogatory post or a misleading caption about my marriage. I will not tolerate that. I will take legal action. Be warned”.
The video has left many praising him for standing up for his wife.

Recall that in December, 2022, Nkiru ended the year on a high note, saying yes to the love of her life. She took to Instagram to show off her engagement ring, and announce her engagement.
While counting down to her wedding, she raised eyebrows by sharing photos of her man, whose face was hidden. Her fans and followers noticed this and bombarded her comment section with questions about his identity.
She later unveiled his face as she shared their pre-wedding photos.
The couple got married traditionally in her hometown in Imo State on 12th January 2023.
On Sunday, 15th January, they had their white wedding, which had many of her industry colleagues in attendance.
Rejoicing with her, Rita Dominic said a word of prayer for her as she affirmed her love for Nkiru.
Also rejoicing with her was Rachael Okonkwo, her Chief Bridesmaid, who expressed her excitement at playing such a special role. Okonkwo revealed how honoured she was.
A year ago, Nkiru Sylvanus had sweetly celebrated her husband on his birthday. The beautiful actress shared a dapper picture of her husband, whom she calls her king, to celebrate him.
