Nola Herbalist, in a TikTok video, claimed that the popular meal, commonly known as chapo madondo, is not a healthy choice for men.

She argued that many people are focused on making money rather than taking care of their health, adding that the body will eventually “complain” when it is neglected.

“Chapo madondo is not food for a man. That food will mess up your body as a man. I know it is readily available, but avoid it because it is harming you in ways you cannot see. That is why some men cannot perform their marital obligations, develop urinary tract infections, diabetes and many other diseases,” she claimed.

According to Nola, diet has a direct impact on a person’s health and overall wellbeing. She advised men to avoid consuming too much starch, particularly those who are not physically active.

She further claimed that chapo madondo offers little nutritional value, alleging that chapati contains substances that gradually make men “be like women”.

“Chapati has gluten, which strips away testosterone, the male hormone that makes you a man. The more chapati you eat, the less testosterone you have. The protein in beans is very little and cannot be compared to meat,” she alleged.

Nola advised men to eat more vegetables and omena alongside a small portion of ugali, saying it is important to be proactive about one’s health.

She also claimed that a man who eats plenty of vegetables would be stronger and healthier than one who consumes large amounts of chapati and beans.
