Social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) was honoured with royal regalia and bestowed with a traditional title by the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, during his visit to Iwo, Osun State.
Videos circulating online captured the moment VDM arrived at Ibadan Airport ahead of the royal visit, following a personal invitation from the monarch. He was later received at the palace, where he was presented with traditional attire and conferred with a chieftaincy title by the Oluwo.
The development has generated mixed reactions online, with some congratulating the activist while others questioned the significance of the honour.
