
The family of Edo state deputy governor, Dennis Idahosa, has announced the passing of their mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, at the age of 95.
The Idahosa and Enabulele families of Ovia South West local government area of Edo state said the matriarch died peacefully on April 8, 2026.
This was contained in a statement signed by Friday Aghedo, Chief Press Secretary to the deputy governor.
The statement described the late Madam Idahosa (née Enabulele) as a venerable woman who lived a fulfilled and impactful life marked by strong faith, admirable character, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
“She was a source of wisdom, strength and inspiration to all who knew her,” the statement noted, adding that her legacy would continue to guide generations.
The family expressed gratitude to God for her long life and the values she imparted, while calling for prayers and understanding during this period of mourning.
