‎The family of Edo state deputy governor, Dennis Idahosa, has announced the passing of their mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, at the age of 95.

‎The Idahosa and Enabulele families of Ovia South West local government area of Edo state said the matriarch died peacefully on April 8, 2026.

‎This was contained in a statement  signed by Friday Aghedo, Chief Press Secretary to the deputy governor.

‎The statement described the late Madam Idahosa (née Enabulele) as a venerable woman who lived a fulfilled and impactful life marked by strong faith, admirable character, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

‎“She was a source of wisdom, strength and inspiration to all who knew her,” the statement noted, adding that her legacy would continue to guide generations.

‎The family expressed gratitude to God for her long life and the values she imparted, while calling for prayers and understanding during this period of mourning.
