The appeal emerged through a video that circulated widely on social media on Sunday, drawing attention to the security situation in the area and the condition of those allegedly held captive.

According to the woman in the video, the incident occurred on Friday morning at about 9:30 a.m. when armed men invaded the school environment.

She explained that several staff members and students were taken away during the attack.

The principal stated that the incident happened suddenly, leaving both teachers and pupils in panic as the gunmen stormed the school premises.

Her appearance in the video reflected the growing anxiety among affected families and residents following the attack.

Mrs. Alamu said the victims had remained in captivity since the day of the abduction and appealed to authorities and concerned Nigerians to intervene quickly.

She appealed for peaceful efforts that could lead to the safe return of the victims without violence or loss of life.

The video surfaced amid reports of coordinated attacks on schools in parts of Oriire Local Government Area.

Residents had earlier reported that armed men invaded schools within the area, abducting pupils and teachers while firing gunshots to create panic.

Community members described the attackers as heavily armed and dressed in military-style camouflage, which initially caused confusion among residents who thought they were security personnel.
