Chaos erupted at the venue of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election in Nasarawa State over agitation against perceived manipulation of the process in favour of a particular House of Representatives aspirant.
The enraged party supports violently dragged the APC Returning Officer and compelled him to leave the RCM venue in Doma Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. Supporters of other aspirants attempted to rescue the Returning Officer, which triggered disorder.
The protesters raised allegations of interference by the Local Government chairman in alteration of the results.
