The wife of former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has alleged that officials of the ICPC denied his doctor access to him on Thursday despite an existing court order granting him unrestricted access to medical care.
According to her, the doctor visited the ICPC headquarters earlier today to follow up on medical tests recently conducted on El-Rufai, but operatives allegedly insisted on written approval from the ICPC Chairman before access could be granted.
She described the development as a violation of the court’s directive that El-Rufai must be allowed “unfettered access” to his medical doctors.
She further alleged that she was also denied access when she arrived around 7pm to deliver his dinner, with officials reportedly stating that food deliveries are not accepted after 6:30pm.
The family says it will challenge the actions, describing them as unacceptable and contrary to the court order.
