Dulles Lounge, Inspiro Productions Launch Premium Jazz Residency in Lagos

A new chapter in Lagos’ upscale nightlife and live music culture is unfolding as Dulles Restaurant/Lounge, in partnership with Inspiro Productions, has announced the launch of the LIJF/NAIJAZZ “Super Sessions”—a curated monthly jazz residency set to debut on May 30, 2026.

The initiative, branded “The Uncommon Jazz Experience,” will hold at Dulles Lounge, located on Bishop Oluwole Street in Victoria Island, and is designed to cater to a refined audience seeking a blend of live music and luxury hospitality.

According to the organisers, the residency will fuse jazz with Afrobeat, Highlife and contemporary sounds, positioning itself as a premium cultural offering within Lagos’ vibrant entertainment landscape.

The project is spearheaded by Ayoola Sadare, founder of the Lagos International Jazz Festival (LIJF), whose decades-long involvement in Nigeria’s jazz ecosystem is expected to shape the artistic direction and quality of performances.

The inaugural edition, themed “Do You Jazz!?”, will feature performances by Afro-jazz guitarist Kunle Ayo and saxophonist SaxoQueen, alongside other guest artists. The opening night is expected to set the tone for what organisers describe as a “high-prestige cultural series.”

Unlike conventional weekly nightlife programming, the Super Sessions will adopt a monthly schedule, taking place on the last Saturday of every month. The format, organisers say, is aimed at building anticipation and maintaining exclusivity around each event.

Speaking on the development, Dolapo Akinpelu, CEO of Dulles Lounge, described the residency as a strategic move to elevate live music experiences in Lagos.

He said the initiative goes beyond entertainment, positioning jazz as a lifestyle and reinforcing Lagos’ reputation as a hub for premium cultural experiences.

With its combination of established musical talent, curated programming and a luxury setting, the LIJF/NAIJAZZ Super Sessions is expected to contribute to the evolving identity of Lagos as a destination for high-end live music and cultural expression.
