A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing how she unknowingly exposed a supposed wedding plan between her friend in the UK and her boyfriend.
The story was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by kenkenlewu, where she narrated how a congratulatory message to the man led to an unexpected revelation.
How the Incident Started
According to her, her friend who is based in the UK had earlier told her that she would soon be coming to Nigeria for her wedding.
After the conversation, she decided to reach out to the same friend’s boyfriend who she said had been sponsoring her trip abroad and also sending her money regularly.
Message That Exposed the Situation
She explained that she sent the man a congratulatory message, assuming he was aware of the upcoming wedding.
In the message, she wrote: “Bros, congratulations sir. I’m really happy for you. My friend just told me about your upcoming wedding. How are the preparations going? If you need any assistance, let me know sir.”
However, the man’s response reportedly shocked her.
He reportedly replied: “Which wedding? With who?”
Confused by the boyfriend’s response, she took a screenshot of her chat with the lady and sent it to him.
Unexpected Fallout Between Friends
She added that since then, the situation escalated, as the lady involved has been calling her repeatedly.
In her words: “My friend in the UK told me she would soon be coming to Nigeria for her wedding.
After we finished talking, I decided to message her boyfriend, the same guy who sponsored her trip to the UK and still sends her money almost every week.
I said:
‘Bros, congratulations sir. I’m really happy for you. My friend just told me about your upcoming wedding. How are the preparations going? If you need any assistance, let me know sir.’
Omorh this man replied immediately:
‘Which wedding? With who?’
I was confused.
I quickly screenshot my conversation with his girl and sent it to him.
Since then, this babe has given me over 200 missed calls 😭😭
I didn’t even know she was planning to marry another man ooooh…”
