Sanusi Bature, spokesperson to the Kano State governor, has dismissed criticism from former Kano governor and NNPP leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over recent decisions taken by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, insisting it was too early to judge the administration’s actions.
Speaking during an interview on Trust TV, Bature defended the governor’s decisions while reacting to comments credited to Kwankwaso, who reportedly expressed concerns that the administration may have taken the wrong direction on certain political matters in the state.
According to the governor’s spokesman, the administration remains focused on governance and delivering on its promises to the people of Kano State despite growing political debates within the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and among supporters of the Kwankwasiyya movement.
“For Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to say that his Excellency has taken a wrong decision, I think the time is so immature to make that assertion,” Bature said during the interview.
He argued that major government policies and political decisions should be given adequate time before conclusions are drawn about their effectiveness or consequences.
