His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, graced the private screening of the film: “On Different Grounds,” which was held on Friday, May 9, 2026 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The exclusive event brought together traditional leadership, government, diplomacy, and Nigeria’s creative industry.
This was for an advance viewing of the film ahead of its public release.
In attendance were former Minister Frank Nweke Jr.; veteran actors Kate Henshaw, Ini Edo, and Bob Manuel Uzokwe; producer Ope Ajayi; media executive Seun Oloketuyi; alongside members of the diplomatic corps and other industry stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, the Olu of Warri commended the producers and cast for telling a story that reflects Nigeria’s diversity and resilience.
He said: “The creative sector is a vital platform for cultural expression and youth empowerment.
“We must continue to support works that project our identity and values to the world.”
“On Different Grounds” explores the themes of unity, identity, and purpose across Nigeria’s cultural landscape.
The Warri Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that advance culture, peace, and opportunities for young Nigerians in the arts and creative economy.
