Over 1M Who Voted For Yusuf Are Angry, They Refused To Collect Money, Noodles, To Vote For Us- RMK

Former Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has said many supporters of the Kwankwasiyya movement are unhappy with Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf following his reported alliance with the APC.…....

Speaking during an interview on Trust TV, Kwankwaso said political betrayal never ends well and warned that politicians who turn against the people who supported them usually lose public support over time.

He compared the situation to that of former Kano governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, whom he said was once strongly backed by the Kwankwasiyya movement before political disagreements affected their relationship.

Kwankwaso insisted that the movement remains strong even when it is not in control of the Kano Government House. According to him, the group has remained influential in Kano politics since 1999 and only lost power a few times due to what he described as mistakes within the movement.

He also claimed that more than one million people who voted for Governor Yusuf during the election are now angry over recent political developments. Kwankwaso said many supporters stood by the movement despite hardship and refused to collect gifts or money in exchange for their votes.

The former NNPP presidential candidate added that the loyalty shown by supporters proved that the Kwankwasiyya movement was built on commitment and not financial inducement.

In his words, “The over 1,029,000 people who voted for him are angry now, because they refused to collect maggi, noodles, textiles just to vote for us, we had no money.”
