The lives of Nigerians are taken away by evil element, We’ll put an end to this as a people–Bwala

During an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday, Bwala revealed this while talking about the government’s response to violent episodes across the nation and recent security issues.…....

Recent atrocities, he said, included kidnappings and murders in LA Primary School and the Esiele community in Oyo State’s Orire Local Government Area.

Several communities and institutions around the country are still worried about security, he said, and these occurrences show that.

He asserts that the Nigerian Constitution grants individuals the right to self-defence in times of danger.

Under the country’s legal structure, he said, one of the rights is the right to self-defence, which is particularly important when people’s lives are at risk.

The government acknowledges the seriousness of insecurity, he went on to say, but criminal behaviour is not exclusive to Nigeria; it’s a global problem.

Instead of depending on government action alone, he said, officials and citizens must work together to solve such problems.

Noting that people are likely to continue voicing discontent and worry whenever assaults occur, Bwala also addressed public views over recurring violent episodes.

The loss of life and the frequency of similar catastrophes in different communities, he said, are to be expected, and the emotional reaction from Nigerians is understandable.

“I know the Nigerian people will continue to complain. For example, no matter how we say that we are sorry and the incident happens again, people will complain, cry and mourn because it’s the lives of the Nigerian people that are taken away by the evil element. We will put an end to this as a people,” he said.
