David Akuetteh revealed in a viral TikTok video how four men worked together to rob a driver of his Honda vehicle at night. The robbery happened around 10pm when the driver slowed down at a pothole on the road.
As soon as the driver slowed down, a man on a motorbike quickly blocked him from the front. The driver had no choice but to stop. When he rolled down his window to ask the rider to move, the rider started shouting and insulting him, saying the driver was trying to knock him down.
While the driver was busy arguing with the motorbike rider, three men who were standing nearby walked to the driver’s side of the car. They lifted their shirts and showed the driver their pistols. The driver was frightened and could not move.
At the same time, a fourth man stood on the other side of the car holding a jack and spanner, pretending to fix a tyre. Anyone passing would think he was just a roadside mechanic. Nobody suspected anything.
The robbers then forced the driver out of his car and made him sit on the roadside. The motorbike rider cleared the road and the thieves drove away with the car.
But the robbers did not go far. The driver had installed a GPS tracker in the car. The car got jammed and locked through the GPS system. The thieves could not get out and had to break the car window to escape on foot.
Akuetteh is now warning all drivers, especially those who travel at night, to be very careful on the roads. He says robbers are now using clever tricks and innocent-looking distractions to attack drivers.
