During an interview on News Central TV on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), spoke about the party’s internal electoral process and the coordination involved in collating results from across the country. His comments came amid discussions surrounding the ADC presidential primary and the emergence of early results from several states.…....

Momodu stated that the ADC demonstrated a level of organizational capacity that he believed many other political parties in Nigeria would struggle to achieve. He argued that the party successfully coordinated activities across thousands of voting points and ensured that results were transmitted and sorted in Abuja.

He added that the performance of the other contestants in the exercise exceeded expectations held by many observers within the party, suggesting that the primary contest reflected broader participation and competitiveness than initially anticipated.

According to him, “What ADC did yesterday, no other party have the audacity to attempt it—to go to all those places over 8,000 voting points and put everything together and ensuring that all the returning officers are able to bring the results to Abuja where now it is being sorted out. And in fact, in the results I’ve seen so far, the other two contestants did far better than many of us had anticipated.”
