Comrade Dauda Flags-Off Construction Of Interlocking Road, Drainage, Culver, Kerbs And Streetlights At RST Apena Close 

In fulfilment of his administration’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure across Ikeja Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), today flagged off the construction of an interlocking road, one-side drainage, culvert, kerbs and streetlights at RST Apena Close, Ikeja.

The project, which is expected to be completed within six weeks, will be executed by RMB Construction Engineering Company Limited under the supervision of the Works and Infrastructure Department of Ikeja Local Government.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Council Chairman, Comrade Dauda reaffirmed his resolve to provide infrastructure that will improve the quality of life of residents, enhance accessibility and promote sustainable development across communities in Ikeja. He noted that the project is another practical demonstration of his administration’s commitment to the I.K.E.J.A Agenda and the promise of delivering better days for all residents.

Present at the ceremony were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Abisola Omisore; the Secretary to the Local Government, Prince Adeyinka Illo; the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Rasheed Adisa Ogunseye; the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Ganiu Lawal; the Councillor representing Ward E, Hon. Babatunde Folami; the Council Engineer; Supervisory Councillors; Special Advisers; the Head of Budget and Planning, Dr. Anita Rasak; the Regent of Ikeja, Chief Isiaka Apena; and several other dignitaries and stakeholders.

Comrade Dauda appreciated the support and cooperation of the community, assuring residents that the project would be executed to the highest standard and delivered within the stipulated timeframe. He called on residents to protect public infrastructure and continue supporting the administration’s efforts to build a cleaner, safer and more prosperous Ikeja for all.
