More trouble for Blessing CEO as EFCC arraigns her over alleged N69.1m fraud

It is more trouble for Nigerian relationship therapist and influencer Blessing CEO, as the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, has arraigned her

The social media influencer was re-arraigned on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the EFCC. She was arraigned before Justice R.A Oshodi of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing to the tune of N69,150,000.

At the commencement of the proceedings, the prosecution counsel, C.C Okezie, urged the court to proceed with the arraignment, arguing that the defendant had been duly served with the charge.

However, the defence counsel, Nkama Nneka, informed the court that service of the charge had only recently been effected.

In his ruling, Justice Oshodi said that the arraignment should proceed in accordance with the law; hence, the charges were subsequently read to the defendant in court.

Recall that Blessing is also facing a two-count charge filed by the EFCC, Lagos Zonal Directorate 1, bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing to the tune of N36 million. She was arraigned on May 15, 2026, over allegations that she obtained the sum from a petitioner under false pretences of leasing a property in Lekki, Lagos.

She was, however, granted N10 million bail.

A few months ago, Blessing cried out to Nigerians over her stage 4 battle with cancer. In an Instagram video, she revealed that she was scared and tired of being strong while she was going gradually.

Clearing things in an Instagram live session with Daddy Freeze, Blessing said she was diagnosed with breast cancer at a Nigerian hospital, but doesn’t know the stage she is in. She admitted that she doesn’t have a specific amount for the surgery cost, and was asking for money, because she didn’t know what to expect, but knew she would need money for surgery, though she exaggerated things.

While making her return to social media after a break, she apologised to Nigerians for the unnecessary drama. Sharing screenshot of her cancer result, she promised to carry the public along with her health journey, and made it clear that she didn’t lie about her health issues.

Keeping to her promise, she shared a video of herself in the hospital as she unmasked her medical report, asking doctors in the house to help with the translation.
