Founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has questioned why kidnappers involved in the abduction of schoolchildren and other victims across Nigeria have not been tracked and arrested.
Ibiyeomie alleged that the continued success of kidnappers suggests that powerful individuals may be sponsoring or protecting them.
According to him, children are not being picked randomly without support from influential backers.
“They are not just picking these children without sponsors. Politicians must be behind it,” he said.
The cleric also questioned why the Department of State Services has not been able to track kidnappers despite its capacity to trace people through phone calls and other surveillance methods.
“The DSS can track people, so how come they are not tracking these kidnappers? There must be an invisible hand behind it,” he said.
He further asked why no major arrests have been made if security agencies can trace ordinary citizens through phone communication.
