Journalist and former presidential aide Jackson Ude has alleged that the Federal Government (FG) has seized more than 40 properties allegedly linked to former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN).
According to Ude, the assets include universities, hotels, schools, filling stations, residential and commercial buildings, agricultural facilities, pharmacies, supermarkets, warehouses and vast hectares of land located across Abuja, Kano, Kebbi and Kaduna States.
Among the properties listed are Meethaq Hotels in Jabi and Maitama, a luxury duplex in Maitama, a five-storey hotel building in Jabi, terraces in Asokoro, commercial shops in Wuse II, residential properties in Gwarimpa, Apo Legislative Quarters, Karsana and other locations within the Federal Capital Territory.
The list also includes Rayhaan University buildings, agro-allied factory buildings and machinery, oil and gas filling stations, schools, a 100-hectare parcel of land along Birnin Kebbi–Jega Road, and several residential and commercial developments in Kebbi, Kano and Kaduna.
According to the claims, many of the properties were allegedly acquired between 2016 and 2024, with some said to have appreciated significantly in value following renovation or completion.
Ude further alleged that the properties include assets reportedly acquired by Khadimiyya for Justice & Development Initiative at Academic Garden City in Birnin Kebbi, comprising multiple residential units and over five hectares of land.
As of the time of filing this report, the Federal Government has not officially released a public statement confirming the alleged seizures, while Abubakar Malami has not publicly responded to the claims.
The allegations remain unverified, and no court judgment or official forfeiture documents confirming the reported seizures have been made public.
