A U.S. military delegation arrived in Beirut earlier today for talks with the Lebanese Armed Forces on implementing Israel’s withdrawal from the first pilot zone in southern Lebanon.
Under the June 26 framework agreement, Israel is expected to gradually withdraw from areas captured during its campaign against Hezbollah, with the Lebanese Armed Forces deploying to those areas and assuming full control.
